Great things are afoot...
I've been working on something really cool. It will definitively answer the question "Are we there yet?"...

MusicInfo 1.01 submitted
Last night I submitted version 1.01 of MusicInfo to Apple. Just a minor release, adding persistence of settings between sessions, iOS 4 readiness (fast task switching) and some small bug fixes.

MusicInfo App submitted to Apple
Hello interwebs!
My first app, MusicInfo has been submitted to Apple for review. It's a fairly simple affair, which uses the currently playing music on the iPhone / iPod touch to find information about the artist from a range of sources.
Currently it searches Last.fm, Wikipedia and YouTube. YouTube search also allows you to search for the specific track you're listening to, so you can find other performances of the track and music videos.
A screenshot of the Last.fm tab while I'm listening to a Pearl Jam track can be seen on the right.
I've found it to be useful, since I like music and like learning more about the artists who make it. With a little luck, Apple will approve it and other people can find it useful too.
Some of the graphics in the app are sourced from http://OpenGraphicDesign.com/.
